Eircom rebranding to…..erm, eir?

There was a lot of talk about Eircom rebranding yesterday, and having checked the Patents Office Trade Mark Register, they have recently applied for this Trade Mark: It spells “eir” in case that’s not clear! Here’s the application:   They also applied to register ‘MyEir’   And finally, they have registered the website www.eir.ie So, what say ye? Is Eir the new Eircom??
