Samsung Gear S3 Frontier

Nothing fills my little trademark Geek Heart more than this sight:

Exclusive

Because when I find something I think might be an exclusive, I search for it in Google, on the basis if google doesn’t know about it, the world doesn’t yet know about it.

So imagine how chuffed I was to see this:

Gear S3 Frontier

And the reason I Googled “Gear S3 Frontier” is because Samsung yesterday applied for an EU wide trademark to cover that term for the following:

There’s been a huge amount of speculation that “Samsung Odyssey” may be the name of the Occulus rival they are working on based on the Korean trademark applications for the below three trademarks

Those three trademarks have now also been applied for across Europe, lending further credence to the rumour mill.

But as for the “Gear S3 Frontier”, well that’s new. ALL new. Google doesn’t know about it new.

  • Either way, judging by the product categories listed in the trademark application, it’s possible that the Samsung Gear S3 Frontier could offer Samsung Pay support out of the gate, along with better health and fitness-tracking capabilities.
