Sure, there were lots of trademark applications filed at the EU Trademark Offices over the last 48 hours. Sure, you can see them all below. But’s really very hard to look beyond this one…

Copper Face Jacks Trademark Application

Yes, that’s right my friends, coppers is going on tour…..or at least its name is. Filed on Monday, Copper Face Jacks has applied for Europe Wide protection of its name in all the above categories of goods/services. Given how much money they make off the cloakroom alone, they could probably have included ‘provision of cloakroom services’ in there and possibly also ‘meeting place for Gardaí, Nurses and Farmers’.

Also catching my eye from the most recent filings:

Neverland Trademark Application

Don’t think I would trust a Financial Investment firm called Neveland personally, but to each their own:

Radio Caroline Trademark Application

This is a big one for Radio Anoraks (hello to you) because Radio Caroline was such a seminal station in the history of broadcasting. If this Trademark is granted, this company will be the only one allowed to use the name in connection with internet radio broadcasting

ComicCon Europe Trademark Application

This is the official logo for ComicCon Europe I take it then?

And speaking of ComicCon Europe, here’s a trademark application for Skywalker, which I assume will be opposed by LucasFilm, but we’ll wait and see!

Skywalker Trademark Application

Here’s all the EU Trademark Applications Filed in the last 48 Hours:
